El Rio is the largest provider in Pima County of medical and dental services to the uninsured and Medicaid populations. Our vision and plan of action focuses on providing the best direct services we can for this population, but it does not stop there. El Rio also educates the public about the needs of this population, and advocates for their interests at local and state levels. El Rio achieves these goals, in part, through initiatives targeted at specific populations and health issues. El Rio is an independent, community-based primary health care center in Pima County. El Rio Health Center is available to all, but especially to those least able to access and afford health care services. El Rio recognizes and rewards the abilities of our health care team to best serve the needs of a culturally diverse and medically under-served patient population. We are advocates for our patients, individually and as a group, and work diligently to attain full and complete care as appropriate.

El Rio is a provider of choice that effectively demonstrates its value to the patient, community, and to payers through regular and accurate measurement of improvement in health services for our patients, through the efficient use of health care resources, and through the installation of a team-based quality improvement process. El Rio is publicly recognized by patients, community and contributors for these efforts.

Our health care team includes the sufficient and appropriate disciplines necessary to address the primary health care needs of our patients.
