Board Certified Dr Hernandez was born and raised in Tucson. She graduated from Sunnyside High School and went on to continue her education at the University of Arizona receiving a degree in dietetics. She spent 4 years in the Army as a dietician and achieved the rank of captain. She returned to the U of A to obtain her medical degree and completed her residency training in San Antonio at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center. She enjoys cooking and spending time with family and friends. She is married to Eric Parkhurst and they have three children. |
