The Health Education Project recruits, trains, and places volunteers at other non-profit entities to provide health, wellness, and life skill classes to people who are homeless or who are residing in temporary housing. The Health Education Project serves more than two dozen homeless and temporary housing sites in Tucson, Arizona. We have an average of 60 volunteer health educators that teach self-care and healthy choices curriculum in order to interrupt the cycle of poverty, homelessness and violence. |
