Clinical Responsibilities:

The resident will participate in safe, evidence-based, compassionate, and cost-effective patient care. Our mission is to provide exceptional care to underserved patients and the resident should be passionate about this endeavor. All patient care activities are under the supervision of attending pharmacists and commensurate with the resident’s level of training as determined by the residency program. The resident will communicate effectively with supervising attending pharmacists regarding his/her patient evaluation, interpretation of diagnostic tests, and plan of care and intended therapeutic interventions. Additionally, the resident will provide oral and written consultations focused on improving patient outcomes and enhancing communication with the health care team.

Academic Responsibilities:

Our residency programs are part of the University of Arizona College of Pharmacy residency programs and residents are required to complete the longitudinal teaching certificate (PRSTL). Please see the website for additional information about academic responsibilities.
